Christmas Eve

It's Christmas Eve, the fire is blazing and the tree lights lit
The gifts are all wrapped, no more to do, there's no doubt, this is it.
Tomorrow will come, all cold and white
Once we have had our long winter's night.
The day will begin with the sweet smell of pie
The roasting of ham and the sun in the sky.
The day won't be long, when the sun sets to the west
We'll all lay our heads for another night's rest.
My friends, please remember as you pass by the day
I hope the memories you make will never go away.
